Volunteer Opportunites

At St. Paul's United Methodist Church, we believe that serving others is a beautiful way to share love and build community. We offer many opportunities to volunteer, whether it's helping those in need, supporting church events, or lending a hand in day-to-day ministries. No matter your skills or availability, there’s a place for you to make a difference. We’d love for you to join us in spreading kindness and hope!

Music Ministry

St. Paul's Singers is a group of volunteers that provides music during worship service and at occasional concerts. The group practices on Saturday mornings. Join St. Paul's Singers—no experience needed, just a joyful heart and a love for music! All are welcome!

Liturgust/Reader

Congregants participate in worship by being a Liturgist, leading the congregation through the liturgy during worship services.

Good Samaritan

We lovingly prepare and deliver meals to congregants who are ill or recovering, ensuring they have nourishing food when they need it most. We also provide groceries to individuals and families facing financial hardship, offering support and care in times of need.

Outreach and Visitation

When congregants are absent, sick, or unable to be with us, we want them to feel loved and remembered. We reach out with phone calls or visits, ensuring they know they are valued, appreciated, and never alone.

Maintenance

We want to keep St. Paul's clean, presentable and beautiful for us and everyone else around us. Many hands make light work

Campus Beautification

Our grounds are beautiful, and although we have a gardener, we are looking for individuals who would love to help us keep St. Paul's looking majestic

Mission Statement:
We Advocate for our unhoused neighbors to have a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation on homelessness.

Vision:

To work in partnership with unhoused community members in Southern California to address and resolve the homelessness crisis.

We provide tents, sleeping bags, warm clothes, blankets, Bombas socks, hygiene products, laundry supplies, encampment clean-up supplies, food, water, housing resource information and other supplemental basics to assist the unhoused residents.
We reach out to our partner organizations for case management assistance to create prevention programs that help people to pathways of safe housing and independent living.
We avoid putting a Band-Aid on the problem of homelessness by not only giving food & supplies; but giving love, respect, and humanity WITHOUT judgement or proselytyzing. We've gained access to the encampments and built mutually trusting relationships.
We distribute resources directly to those looking for pathways out of tough circumstances.
We are committed community advocates for all residents housed, unhoused, and people at risk of homelessness.
We serve all people with dignity and respect, with the understanding that we are one community. We serve veterans, special needs and all individuals regardless of religious beliefs, age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with outreach preparation and street engagement this weekend. If you’re available to lend a hand, please contact the office to sign up. Your support makes a difference!
